Sligo Yacht Club is situated at Rosses Point approx. 8 km from Sligo town. Club sailing takes place on Sligo Bay.
Presently the Club has three thriving and very competitive classes:
- J24s
- GP 14s
- Mirrors
Racing for J24s takes place on Wednesday and Friday evenings while GP 14s and Mirrors race on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Sligo Yacht Club organises a series of Courses for Juniors and Adults. The Junior Courses take place throughout July and August and follow the Irish Sailing syllabus. One formal Adult Sail Training Course is held each year but tuition can be arranged if required.
